Let's go for a walk

I am so excited to announce that I am now offering a new service: walk-and-talk therapy.
Zoom fatigue is real, y'all! So, I'm adding walk-and-talk therapy as a service.
I have utilized this approach in a variety of situations even before Covid times, and it is genuinely one of my favorite approaches. I have used it with kids, teens, postpartum mamas, and even adult men!
Here's how it works: We will agree upon a time and place, whether that be your neighborhood or a nearby park. And then, we walk and talk. We can even do an extended session and take this therapy to the mountains!
Here's why it works:
1. The pressure of a face to face one-on-one conversation can be a lot in therapy.
2. Many folks benefit from physically moving around in processing their feelings.
3. We get to physically be together.
(Nothing against telehealth! I find it more effective than I thought, but I miss being with other humans)
4. Many of us are facing more symptoms of depression and anxiety from being inside our homes and isolated. Getting out with your therapist is a doubly whammy for getting well.
5. Biology! We can relieve a lot of tension and anxiety through moving our body. In fact, aerobic exercise is a wonderful way to clear excess cortisol out of your brain.
6. Nature! We are lucky to live in a truly beautiful part of the world. If we are going to practice mindfulness skills, I might as well utilize mountain-scape views.
7. Convenience! Can't find a babysitter for your kid? Push baby in the stroller, and let's get after it. Let your kiddo scooter around us.
